Allison Harry - Borough of Manhattan Community College

My name is Allison Harry and I'm an international student from the beautiful Caribbean country, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I am presently attending the Borough of Manhattan Community College and will be graduating in June, after which I will hopefully move onto to study Forensic Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I possess steadfast values and a well-defined picture of the world around me, through which I realize that the world is subject to change but we are the only ones that can change it. Also I will try my best to make an educated decision about who I elect into office by listening to the proposals of all the candiates,
because after all that person will also be representing me .Which is why I think I derserve your proxies. If any of you share my views and ideas about the various aspects that will be addressed on this site; and you give me your proxies, I will dedicate myself to effectively representing you and try my best to accomplish our common goals, and make our dreams for global democracy a reality.

Personal Views
Overall I think that the issues of war and sustainability are very much linked, for war exhaust resources. And the same people making decisions about war are the same people allowing our earth to deteriorate, for they allow the biggest air-polluting Power Plants and factories to do what they do best, just because they support their government financially. And this pay off is then used to further strategize war plans. But nothing is going to change until we revolutionize the government and really make it "for the people, by the people." Hopefully we can all accomplish this goal by working together, through The Student World Assembly.
