SWA Chapter - Fordham University, New York, USA

Launch of SWA Chapter

The Students at Fordham University in New York City received the school's approval on October 7, 2004 to establish a chapter of Student World Assembly (SWA-Fordham).

SWA-Fordham has attracted and enrolled numerous members among the day and evening students.  Bafodé Dramé, the elected chairman of the Issues Committee of SWA main body, has led the effort to establish this chapter, and has been elected President of SWA-Fordham.

As President, Bafodé leads a strong team of elected SWA officers.  These students have shown enthusiastic interest in establishing SWA-Fordham as one of the flagship chapters of the organization.  Dr. M. Reza Fakhari, an adjunct professor of politics at Fordham University since 1985, assisted in the establishment of this chapter and serves as its advisor.

On November 9, 2004, the chapter will co-sponsor with the Fordham College of Liberal Studies a lecture by Dr. Fakhari on “What’s Next in the Middle East?”

For more information, please contact Bafodé Dramé at diplomat76@aol.com.
