Decisions:
The International Membership and Outreach Committee addressed the methods of starting a Chapter, discussed improvements made on SWA brochures, tri-folds, and booklets, and created guidelines and suggestions for different activities Chapters may want to participate in.

Starting a Chapter is easy. Rosalinda, the Committee Chair presented the steps for beginning a Chapter to the membership, and also announced that the information to start a Chapter was on the website. On the web, the SWA Constitution, and examples of two other schools' Bylaws are provided as well as many other promotional materials. The Membership and Publicity committee announced that every Chapter's bylaws must included in the Standard SWA constitution.

Student members on the committee also originate ideas on ways student members and Chapters could get involved. The committee sets guidelines on the kinds of activities Chapters will participate in. The committee recognized that each Chapter will decide how active their role will be in their community and on their campus. The Membership and Outreach Committee will only make suggestions on the types of organizations and activities Chapters will participate in. However, the activities of the Chapter must abide by the SWA mission and the Membership and Outreach Committee’s approval. Also, the Membership and Outreach Committee will be creating rules and regulations on the companies that Chapters can accept gifts from.

Coming soon will be a page on the website with fundraising ideas, organizations that Chapters can link up with to hold events in their communities, and a variety of other activities Chapters can partake in.
