   Internship Program - New York

The Student World Assembly offers internships at its headquarters in New York City. The internship program is designed to provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to learn about how NGOs work and the supporting areas of the organization.

We are currently accepting applications for semester and summer long
Internship Programs. Internships are unpaid but may be done for academic
credit or on a volunteer basis. A candidate must be an undergraduate
student; a graduate student; or have graduated from college within
twelve months at the beginning of the internship.

General Information: Interns are expected to work between 10-15 hours
a week. Internships are offered during the Summer, Fall, and
Winter/Spring semesters. Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between the SWA and the intern's college or university.

Internships are available in the following teams at SWA:

o Program Development and Grants
o Global Initiatives and Research
o Information Technology
o Fundraising
o Advocacy
o International Convention
o Publications
o Chapter Development and Event Planning
o Public Relations
